Do You Like Music?

If "yes", then you will need, want, and very soon LOVE this one. Five stars.

Great for analyzing music/composition

Really useful for musicians who want to analyze composition and technical tricks used in musical recordings. I love the interface, nice and minimal and really a joy to use. I find the playhead/loop point selectors confusing because the indicators at the bottom arent shown the way they are for the filter and time-stretching circles. Also the sound starts to get really granular and "time-stretchy" sounding when slowed down a lot. This could be improved. Other than that, I really love using this app, great work!

GREAT

App doesnt lie. It transposes perfectly with little to no distortion. Its too bad you cant export edited tracks. Definitely worth buying.

Unbelievable

This app is great right now if you are a music lover and what to learn how the artist composes and layers their music. However, future improvements would be a nice addition, such as being able to export to iTunes, or email to someone. You could also add effects for different parts of the composition. But as the app stands right now is great. One minor improvement I really need to see is not having to click the record icon to chose the function I want to go into maybe like hold down and the menu pops out, slide finger up, then release. But just a really minor tweak.

Wow!

So much for so cheap! This is a wonderful easy to use app for anyone wanting to play along to backing tracks, learn tunes or transcribe music. Its all here and for 3$...

Does not work!

Does not work! Does not allow DRM protected files to be uploaded as it says.

Great app! Ive been looking for this...

Finally, an app that allows me to change to speed of a song without changing the pitch! I love that I can pitch control songs already on my phone. I teach dance classes, and sometimes you want to use a song on your phone, not a CD to teach, but you need to slow it down. This app is perfect for that!

Phenomenal.

I had written another review prior to uncovering the full set of features for this app and have since then removed my previous post. This app is incredible. I have never before been able to manipulate so many aspects of a track so simply within one software application, and certainly never on an iOS device. I was blown away. While listening to Lady Gagas "Paparazzi", I was able to increase tempo, change the key, fine tune the track down to the FREAKING SEMITONE (thats amazing) and then mix the track to my liking with highs, mids, and lows. Absolutely incredible. Its almost like having a mobile mixing station in your pocket. Whats more is that I can play the track IN REVERSE. Have you ever heard Dance/Pop backwards? Its like a whole new track. Its phenomenal. I played an instrumental track that Ive been working on for my own personal record and I was able to increase tempo, play with the pitch any way I like, and mix the sound to perfection. I am so blown away at how much this app has to offer. I was complaining about the price before, but now I feel that its completely worth it. DEVELOPERS: I only have a few minor requests for this app. 1.) It would be very nice to have the option of exporting this track as an .m4a, .AAC, or .MP3 so that users can listen to their new track in the iPod at any time. 2.) It would be nice to have a few skins to choose from. Maybe even a black wallpaper with the black record and neon borders. 3.) It would be nice if the buttons at the bottom were customizable within the settings. Id prefer to put the repeat button AFTER the effects button, instead of it being before as is now. 4.) The music note looks a little funky. Any way you could put a note with a vertical flag or a pair of eighth notes with the left lower than the right (like the default in iTunes for a track with no artwork)? THANK YOU for taking the time to read my post. I hardly ever right reviews, but this app simply MUST receive the good credit that it absolutely deserves. Developers, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! This is just what I was looking for. I can use this tool to help figure out the best tempo, intervals, and keys for my tracks. This is fantastic. Again, thank you. -Mr. Léon

Great app

Being a drummer, this app is a godsend. Great for figuring out licks.

Simple and beautiful

Pretty, simple, and easy to use...it would be 5 stars if there was a way to bounce down new arrangements.

Great

Fantastic, i can finally make all my songs sound like the chipmunks

Entertaining

Cool app. Ill give it 5 when I can create playlists.

Im so impressed

This app does everything it claims, in a simple, smart & elegant way. Im a pianist and I often like to practice chamber music by playing along with recordings. A frequent problem is that commercial recordings are too fast when Im learning something new. With this app the problem is solved. And thats only one of its many great features. The price is almost ridiculous. I would happily have paid five or even ten times as much for this. Thanks for a great job.

Wow!

What a great job they did on this app! The sound quality is surprisingly great even at half speed, double speed, or transposed heavily. The interface was a little foreign at first but only took me about 8 mins to learn it all with the help pages include in the app. Well worth the little effort... Its VERY well designed UI. Feature requests would be: 1. Allow export of files. 2. Allow AirPlay audio output. 3. When returning to the song that has been in loop mode, it starts playing from the beginning of the loop. 4. Universal version for iPad support. Truly useful app. Oh, and great for karaoke files when the sing isnt in your key!

Awesome!

Very awesome! Future enhancements would be the ability to export edited track and A/B regions, high-resolution "analog" scrub, and to select reverse play from the main panel. But as is its one cool app, indeed!

Perfect for guitar players

Finally after years of trying to learn a song or part of a song like a guitar solo by hitting play then stop then trying to rewind back to the beginning of the part youre trying to learn, all the while trying to hold the guitar, well no more. This app is perfect for picking out those notes or chords of your fave song. For example just find the beginning of the solo and the end,set the start marker to where the first note of the solo starts and the stop marker for the last note then the tempo as fast or as slow as you want and it will loop the selected section over and over, no more fumbling with knobs or buttons, no balancing the guitar while you reach for the buttons. Just stand or sit where you want and learn that solo or rhythm part without having to let go of your guitar. Beautiful, this app deserves 10 stars. Thank you thank you thank you.

Best music app yet!

Excellent as a music learning tool, or even a virtual playback device for matching beats to external sources. Great app! Exactly what Ive been looking for.

Great UI

Love the control scheme (compared to others like Capo & ASD), & cost much less as well. Highly recommended!

Perfect

Very clever and intuitive UI. Helps me write detailed drum parts to some complicated music. Has become a primary tool in my writing process.

Not yet perfect but close.

The sound quality is worse than Amazing Slow Downer but the user interface is nicer.
